Dolce & Gabbana and Madonna introduce MDG: the new sunglasses collection personally designed by the pop star in collaboration with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

The sun glasses launching followed almost naturally her recent collaboration with the famous designer duo of Dolce n Gabbana.

Why else, it seems that Italians do it … better INDEAD! And second-generation italian Maddy knows that, since the days of Papa don’t preach.

Lately I have been trying hard to control my anger.

My anger towards all those who have been fooling this country for so long, towards all those who have decided to tell the truth to the terminal patient, to quit the lies and start aggressive chemotherapy, towards all our disillusioned selves.

In the ship of fools, you can’t just blame the captain and the crew, can you?

Although I have the horrible habbit of having a view on almost everything, I have decided to shut it this time.

For one thing, I am not so good at anger management, and it’s not going to sound decent. Plus, I don’t wish to add to the misery/moaning/grumpiness and sorrow of this nation.

P.S. Please, don’t send me another mass email about the goverment, and its ministers, and what could/would have been, if someone had the guts/skills/decency/ethics to do things differently.

The time is now, and the future is in our hands.

Us Greeks have been through tougher times. Us Greeks have been through better times, too. But one thing is for sure. These sun-sea-food-crazy people will always find a way out of the blues.

Greece!

Azure sparkling beaches, golden sand,  pristine whitewashed houses, architectural harmony, minimalistic lines, the unique Aegean light, games in blue and white.

Have you ever wondered what the population of this country of morons would be if we weren’t conned by all this beauty, if we weren’t in love with Greece, if it didn’t hurt so much to love our country. If we weren’t enslaved to its beauty.

How many more would have «tried their luck» elsewhere? How many would have saided away to Germany, USA, Australia, UK, WHEREVER.

Where things «get done fair and square», where it doesn’t matter WHO you know, but WHAT you know, where TALENT is not WASTED and VALUE is MEASURED.

This is NOT on ode to beauty.

This is NOT about how great and super-duper, and amazing and fantastic and exciting Greece is.

Hell, this is NOT another Come to Greece gia na ti vris…

This is a never-gonna-be-replied querry; how something so touched by the Gods, so perfect is every way, can be ruled by such self-destructive forces?

Well, Greece can be a lot of things, but stupid us, live in its crazy capital, Athens, a city on her knees.

Begging, crawling, trying to lift its ancient memory on its sore shoulders. Bearing the same name with ancient Athens is a legacy, not to be taken lightly. Yet, we, modern greeks, have f….. things up. We have failed ourselves. We have managed to turned the pointing finger towards us.

«Those responsible for the crisis should be punished, said President of the Republic Karolos Papoulias while talking with the Prime Minister before journalists. The latter briefed the President on the developments in economy after the new package of austerity measures was released. «I’m certain that the Greek people will respond, but they have to be convinced there will be justice. That tax evasion will be combated. That those who got rich at the expense of the Greek people will be punished,» stressed Papoulias, further noting, «each crisis has its own potentials.» «It is up to every one of us to turn this crisis into a chance,» underlined the Prime Minister.»

Whether you’ve received a diet infomercial, a clothes catalogue or a car rental one, almost 90% of  online stores have shared the big news with you! Spring has – indeed! – sprung!

At first I thought, what a cliche, what a boring thing to say, how can you possibly boost your sales, at such times, proclaiming the obvious?

Why, in fact it works! Spring has taken a toll on us, even if we don’t realise it. Students cannot sit tight on their desks, bloggers avoid lenghty entries, middle-agers go out more, and almost everyone tends to look more frequently at the sky, more closely at the trees and the blossoming flowers.

Being a true hopeless romantic, I couldn’t resist taking a couple of photos of my own springing friends at home, here the proud hydrangea, the first flower of the pomegranate and of course my old friend the geranioum. The roses far below are blossiming above our heads on our front door!

On another occasion, upon visiting mamas and the papas in their charming cottage a few kilometres from Athens, I couldn’t help but admire my mum’s garden, and once again I took the camera and took a few more.

This time, I was also under the influence, wearing the most incredibly flower-patterned scarf, just recently purchased from M&S. Although usually colourful clothes are not my cup of tea, I ‘m changing my mantra this spring.

This time, BISOUS was there to share the fun! She had to smell everything! Getting her nose all yellow and ticklish!
